dream...?

I'm sure many of you read one or two books telling you about following your dream.
I'm not sure if some of you did, but I never found a book that tells how to find your dream,
and the book works.

Since I was a kid, I never dreamed myself in a future time frame.
Then now, I'm in college, I still can't picture myself.
Just thinking about the choices hurt my head, real bad.
I have no real interest. Most choice that I made was rather because
of an influence by someone directly or indirectly.
So how do we find our real goal? That I still don't know,
but what I know, just like painting, is to see the picture
in a very broad and rough way. Then get it better and better,
but getting it better is such a pain in the noggins, especially
when your given two good choices that will still result in that broad picture.
Thus, my soul becomes restless, unable to choose
which way I should go, and when I say restless,
I mean really restless, full of overwhelming emotions.
Before going to bed, I just felt that I should not forget to read the Bible.
I then read where I last left, Psalms 64 - 66,
the days before, I was really tired of reading Psalms
it being always repeating its main ideas,
about the enemies and about asking God for help and some praises,
I never thought how it would really help me
but today was different,
unbelievably the verses strengthen my soul...

Psalms 65:1-3 "O God, it is right for us to praise you and to keep the vows we made to you.
You have answered our prayers, so we will come to you for help in time of need.
When we were overwhelmed by our sins, you forgave us."

Psalms 66:20 "I praise God and thank Him for hearing and answering my prayer.
He has lifted my burden and has not withheld His love from me."

I was really about to give up, and sleep with a broken soul,
but "I cried for Him for help and praised Him in song, in spite of my hurt."
Psalms 66:17

I'm still not sure of my decision, but I hope that whatever it is,
it'll help God in whatever way and enough to sustain me in my future life.
I hope the decision that I'm making is not because I'm lazy, but because it really
is for me.

  1. Jethro, just hang in there. Making decisions, especially big ones about the future, can be nerve wrecking. Sticking with the decisions can be nerve wrecking as well, but know that God wants what's best for you and He will show you by closing and opening doors. Just knock on all of them and you'll know.
About the drawing. You did that? You have a lot of talent!! Keep up the amazing work!

  2. yo! it's glad to know you've got dreams and you're willing to go forward with it.. About decisions, Coty's right - God wants what's best for you. Just keep trusting that and you've got nothing to fear. Here's another verse for you: Phil.4:6

Don't worry. God's timing is ALWAYS perfect.

  4. I admire you. For putting your trust in Him and remembering him when you feel of giving up.

May you always be the person who puts Him in all your plans.

God bless you on your journey
